Job Description

As a Senior Scientist you will be an integral member of the Chemistry team in drug discovery. You will have a key role in modeling, data analysis, and design, and will be a significant contributor to the company both in shaping and executing project strategies.

The position involves the application of a wide variety of computational approaches including structure-based drug design and pharmacophore modeling, library design, HTS analysis, QSAR and in silico modeling of ADME/Tox, and others to build hypotheses, drive design decisions, and impact project progression. The position also involves the development of new computational approaches to solve specific or general problems in drug discovery.

Desired Skills & Experience

Ph. D. in computational chemistry, plus varying levels of pharmaceutical experience is requested. Previous experience in working as a computational chemist in the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage.

Extensive knowledge in structure-based design, long time molecular dynamics simulation, and homology modeling. Demontrated experience in utilizing molecular dynamics simulation to elucidate structure, binding function and allosteric modulation relationship.
Experience in other areas of the computational chemistry discipline such, pharmacophore modeling, QSAR, quantum mechanics, and statistic modeling is a plus.
Demonstrated skills and knowledge in at least one modeling software packages such as Schrodinger Suites, MOE, Accelrys Discovery Studio, Pipeline Pilot, Spark or similar.

Candidates with strong medicinal chemistry experience and some computational chemistry experience within industry will also be considered.
